About Me

Tina is the Senior Director of Marketing for the Ladies Professional Golf Association.   She worked with the LPGA’s many national sponsors and promotional partners for five years before heading out to explore the agency life when she joined Agency Won in Orlando. Agency Won specialized in motorsports and golf sponsorships and their promotional programs.  Tina began her journey into the NASCAR world at this time and worked heavily with many drivers and teams including Jeff Gordon and his many years of association with Ray-Ban sunglasses.  Tina came back to the LPGA in 2004 – a place near and dear to her heart.  That’s why she’s chosen the LPGA Foundation and the LPGA-USGA Girl’s Golf Program as her charity of choice in the Cadillac Driving Force promotion.  The LPGA is all about growing the game of golf – and the golf programs in the LPGA Foundation do a wonderful job in sharing the game with the youth of today.

A graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a degree in Business Administration, Tina’s community involvement includes being past chairman of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure for Central Florida as well as the BMW Ultimate Drive – all to raise awareness and to find a cure for breast cancer.  Tina and her husband Tom live in Port Orange, Florida with their 4-month old puppy, Jackson – a wire fox terrier who is non-stop fun.

PARTING IS SUCH SWEET SORROW!/ November 10, 2009- The dreaded day has arrived... I have to return "my" SRX.  **sob, sob***...  I certainly hope they have the correct tools at Ritchey Cadillac to pry the keys out of my hand!  Seriously, it's been a fun promotion and an honor to be part of such a fun program!  A co-worker of mine was telling me this morning that she has been reading my blog and is now extremely interested in purchasing an SRX!  Sweet!  I've grown very fond of "CC"... we've bonded quite a bit.  She's made me smile, she's made me feel safe, she's made me feel powerful and most of all, we've had so much fun together!  I certainly hope they don't try to resale my SRX by saying "it's only been driven to church and back every Sunday by a little old lady".... because we've been EVERYWHERE!  Jackson has loved all the rides, too.  When I dropped him off at Grandma's this morning he turned with a sad look and waived his little paw goodbye to CC as I was pulling out of the driveway.  Here at the LPGA, our slogan is "These Girls Rock" - well... I think this girl, CC, rocks, too!  Thanks again to Cadillac, Glenn Ritchey and his team, Orlando's Public Affairs, LLC and everyone else involved.  If I win the money for my charity, that's just an added bonus.  Just the fact that I've been able to raise the awareness of the LPGA Foundation and the LPGA-USGA Girl's Golf Program has been rewarding.  If you have a daughter and are interested in the program, please visit http://www.girlsgolfonline.org for a program near you.  The LPGA-USGA Girls Golf program is a great opportunity for young girls to make friends and learn a game that will last a lifetime.READ MORE

Two for the Price of One/ November 09, 2009- Yesterday afternoon I put two more features to the test.  First, I did the "golf bag" test.  Being in the golf business, it's important to be able to carry two sets of sticks around and the SRX did a great job in doing that!  All I had to do was lift the tailgate remotely, and put down the rear seat so that the two bags fit in nicely.  Too bad my golf game isn't as efficeint as this test was!  I then put the dual DVD screens to the test in the back seat.  I don't have kids, but oh do I remember pestering my parents on long trips... "Are we there yet?...."  seemed to be my favorite phrase!  If only they had the DVD system back then...  My parent's lives would have been so peaceful!  So... I put in my favorite DVD - Don Henley Live in Dallas.  First I played it through the Bose system in the car, then through the wireless headset that's provided.  With the remote control, I was able to find my favorite tunes to sing along in the driveway.  "All she wants to do is dance" never sounded so good!   I hope my neighbors had their doors and windows closed! :-)  Two golf bags and two DVD players passed my test!  Luv it!READ MORE

A or B?/ November 08, 2009- To me, the biggest selling point of the Cadillac SRX is that it's sporty, yet practical.  I drive a sporty car that isn't too practical.  It has four doors, but the trunk is small and not great for hauling things around.  I like to take weekend trips to Lowe's to buy plants, flowers and other misc. big stuff.  When I do this, I must take my hubby's gi-normous Ford F-250 pick up.  You see, he's a swimming pool contractor and, according to him, all contractors "MUST" drive a big pick up.  Ok... whatever!  So... you can only imagine me - the gal who is so used to driving a small sporty car behind the wheel of this big pick up.  YIKES!  Not only am I white-knuckled the entire drive there, but once I arrive, I must look for a parking spot that I can "pull through" so I don't have to back that puppy up!  So that's why, to me, the SRX is so practical!  Not only is it more "my size", but it's easy to park and back up!  It even has the nifty camera in the pop-up dash to help you with things behind you as well as backup sensors.  Very cool and much needed for this back-up challenged gal!  The automatic lift on the back hatch is a dream while the rear seats can fold completely down for more space.  There are tie down hooks that can be slid arround to help items from moving and there's even a small "trap door" for longer items.  So if the SRX were "A" and the Gi-Normous Pick Up were "B", I'd pick "A" every time! Why I call her "CC" - A True Love Affair/ November 08, 2009- OK - It's now time to reveal why I call my SRX "CC".  If you remember that in my first post I told you that I always named my cars.  Well... I named this one "CC" in honor of my mother and father in-law and today is their 64th wedding anniversary!  Can you believe it?  Wow!  And they still act like they just met yesterday!  You see... they have owned several Cadillacs during their 64 years of wedded bliss and they've always called their Cadillacs the "C-Car".  "Let's take the C-Car".  In fact, my hubby and I used their beautiful white "C-Car" as our getaway car after our wedding reception in 1991.  I once asked my mother in-law what the key was to such a long, successfull marriage and she said "A good sense of humor"... and I couldn't agree more!  So congrats Mom and Dad - a true love affair of each other and the "C-Cars" that they have owned over the years...READ MORE

Get Us to the Church On Time!/ November 07, 2009- We had a wedding to attend at 4 PM today.  OK - it wasn't at a church, but it was at an absolutely beautiful spot on the Halifax River in Ormond Beach.  We pulled up in the Cadillac SRX to the Casements - the former summer home for Rockefeller.  A perfect car for a perfect setting for a wedding.  Clear blue skies along the water ... and just perfect all the way around!   In one word it was stunning.  The bride was stunning, too!  Nick and Sharon are neighbors of ours who met in 2004 during one of the four hurricanes we had that year.  The storm had blown through and Sharon was in her yard picking up debris.  Nick, who had just moved in down the street was out roaming and  helping those in need.  And, as they say, the rest is history!  I'd like to say it was a "whirlwind romance" (get it, hurricane... and a wedding?) but they dated for 5 years before getting hitched.  They are perfect for each other and know that they will have many happy years together!  But... I did see them eyeballing my SRX as their "getaway" car after the reception!  Not a chance!  Ha Ha.  I'm now letting my SRX rest for the evening as she's had a big day.  Tommorow I'll explain why I call her "CC"... stay tuned!READ MORE
