About Me

Stacie is the Executive Director of Community Tampa Bay (formerly NCCJ), which is also her chosen charity.  Her mission:  to end discrimination.  Her tools:  a passion for inclusion, a drive to create leaders, and the determination to build a united community.  Community Tampa Bay delivers the life-changing Anytown program, of which 4000 graduates have emerged in Tampa Bay. Stacie’s “Road Less Traveled” roots can be traced to her upbringing in Ohio. She astonished friends and family when she bypassed Ohio State and the Buckeyes for the University of Vermont - a school that doesn’t even have a football team. She completed her Master’s Degree at Vermont and decided to stay. She started a career in the non-profit world with her last job being to receive and resettle refugees from several African countries and assist them to begin new lives in Vermont.  After years helping to acclimate warm climate residents to winter life, explaining mittens, socks and snow pants, Stacie decided to reverse that process in her own life.  She moved to Pinellas County and has discovered  how sweet life can be walking through beach sand rather than through ice and snow. Stacie is an avid Tampa Bay Rays fan and loves art, music and travel. She spent much of her leisure time this past year traveling to Jazz Festivals around the country.   And, though she loves her three fabulous sons, Taylor, Maxwell, and Parker, they will not be driving the Cadillac SRX.
 

Thanks/ November 23, 2009- Thanks for visiting.  I like this car so much and I like the promotion which supports local non-profit agencies.  The bluetooth technology that enables the use of the phone -hands free- while driving is such a convenience.  I will really miss that feature when I turn in the car tomorrow. READ MORE

The secret compartment/ November 22, 2009- Its cool.  Under the rug in the hatch  (which BTW--did I say how great it is to push the button or open OR to close hatch?  No more jumping up and wrenching your shoulder!) So....under that rug are two compartments, deep and without rug so you can put the plants you just bought to freshen your pots for the season and they won't fall down or get dirt on the rug.  Nice feature.READ MORE

Its just great!/ November 22, 2009- Busy weekend cruising to St Petersburg Market, a great party at Miromar and lots of errands I had saved up just to drive the SRX.  I am loving the heated or cooled seats and the roomy interior.  READ MORE
