SRX farewell/ November 24, 2009- I've driven a "car" since I was 16.  Never a van, a truck, an SUV, or a crossover...until now.  And I have to say, this Caddilac SRX is the bomb!  The handling is much like a smaller vehicle and the ride is soooooooooo smoooooooothe.  But the thing I like best about it is feeling a hightened sense of control.  Sure the gadgets are great, the creature comforts are superb, but sitting in the driver's seat I feel greater security because I can SEE the road and the traffic around me.  I'll miss driving the SRX...at least for now.  My husband is seriously infected with new car fever! READ MORE

Last night/ November 22, 2009- Just re-read the post from last night which was logged AFTER a great anniversary meal and a bottle of Champaign once we were home.  I DO know that this crossover I'm driving is an SRX not a CRS or and SRS as I called last night.  LOL.  Today things are back to normal with errands and short trips to the grocery, drugstore and other weekly desitnations, each one made more fun in the SRX.  One of the best features in this car is the hand's free bluetooth phone.  I'm not used to it and am surprised when I get a call and don't have to search in my purse to find the phone.  It's sooooooooo easy and much safer.  In fact the SRX is loaded with safety equipment and packaged so beautifully.  More later...looks like rain.  Might have to take the SRX out for a spin in the rain to see how she handles.   READ MORE

Anniversary Delights/ November 21, 2009- Well today is our 14th wedding anniversary and we thought we would celebrate in grand style. So we took the Caddie SRS to the club and then to our favorite restaruant and tested the ipod connection with our favorite song, "your'e the best thing that ever happend to me" by Gladys Knight and thinking "it doesn't get much better than this"!  How great it is to be at this point in our lives that we can get dressed up, go out for a great evening and include the luxury of this great and luxurious CRS.  Even the valet guys were fighting over who got to drive the car tonight.  The winner commented that the SRX drove as smooth as the Universtity of Florida's offense!  Hmmmm.READ MORE

Bling is Queen/ November 20, 2009- Everyone knows that diamonds are a girl's best friend, and size matters when it comes to diamonds.  Well the same is true of the BLING that I'm driving.  This Cadillac SRX is cut like a fine diamond and drives like a smaller car but the passengers' compartment is HUGE!  This baby has a double (yeah that's right) double sun roof so that the gorgeous Florida sunshine is enjoyed by passengers in the back seat as well as the front.  And since the music choice is controled by the driver in most cars, the passengers just have to go along for the ride.  Not the SRX...the back seat passengers have their own headsets and controls.  Wish I still had kids (well maybe not) so that I could separate them just by telling them to chill with the headphones.  I have plans this evening to try my ipod in the SRX .  No adapters needed.  Just a USB connector that comes with it.  I'll let you know how it goes.   Tootles.READ MORE

Cadillac Envy/ November 19, 2009- WOW...I drove off the lot with this new "machine" the SRX, and was not expecting the exhillaration that I felt!  Incredible!  This car is filled with gadgets, bells and whistles, but hey, I'm a "car girl" and love the feel of the wheel and the hug of the curves that this bad boy has to offer!  So I'm driving back to the office with a full afternoon of appointments running through my head when I notice that the guy beside me is giving me the eye.  I'm thinking, you've still got it girl, when I realize that it's not me that he's eyeing...it's the CAR!!!!!  My dad used to say that every man should have a Caddie before he heads to that big garage in the sky, but I never got it until today.  Ladies, this is akin to our holding out on the guys about pedicures and spa treatments...this SRX is sublime!READ MORE
